Consistency without perfection

Build habits that survive real life.

DonOne gives every habit a good-day goal and a smaller version for difficult days, so progress does not disappear just because your energy did.

Coming soon to iPhoneSee how it works

Your hard days still count.

Recognition

You were not failing. Your system was too fragile.

  • You planned for your most motivated self.
  • Then real life showed up.

DonOne gives you a smaller way to keep the promise alive.

The core idea

One habit. Two versions.

Decide what “enough” looks like before the difficult day arrives.

Good-day goal

What you want to do when time and energy are available.

Read 20 pages.

Hard-day minimum

The smallest meaningful version that still keeps the habit alive.

Read one page.

Optional — you decide whether a habit gets one.

The result

You no longer have to choose between perfection and doing nothing.

How DonOne works, step by step

Step 1

Define what enough looks like

Set a full target for good days and an optional minimum for difficult ones.

  • Choose an activity
  • Set the target and minimum
  • Choose daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly

Step 2

Make progress visible

Track more than a yes-or-no checkbox.

  • Log progress quickly
  • Track the unit that fits the habit
  • See partial, minimum-met, complete, and over-goal states
ReadMinimum met

Step 3

See the full story

One day is never the whole picture.

  • Review calendar history
  • Edit recent progress
  • View streaks and lifetime totals

Lifetime total

Step 4

Reflect without leaving the system

Keep the reason behind the progress close to the habit itself.

  • Write general notes
  • Connect notes to a habit
  • Record what helped

Aug 1General

Rough week. Trying to keep things small.

On missing a day

Missing a day is not the same as giving up.

A streak can be encouraging. It should not become evidence against you.

  • Reach the hard-day minimum and the current streak continues.
  • When a period does not reach the minimum, the current streak begins again—but your longest streak and full history remain intact.

Why DonOne exists

Consistency is the relationship you build with returning.

I built DonOne because I got tired of feeling like every habit app expected me to be perfect.

Eventually, I realized the systems I was using were only designed for my best days.

So I built one that expects life to get difficult—and makes returning part of the system.

  • A small promise kept is still a promise kept.
  • The goal is not to become someone who never struggles. The goal is to become someone who knows how to come back.

Frequently asked questions

What makes DonOne different from other habit trackers?

Most trackers treat every day the same. DonOne gives each habit two versions — a good-day goal and an optional hard-day minimum — so a lower-energy day still has a way to count instead of just becoming a miss.

What is a hard-day minimum?

The smallest version of a habit that still keeps your relationship with it alive — small enough to do even when the day is genuinely hard.

Is the hard-day minimum required?

No. It's optional, and you decide habit by habit whether it gets one.

What happens when I miss a day?

If a day falls below the habit's minimum, your current streak resets to zero. Your longest streak and your complete history stay exactly as they were — nothing gets deleted.

Does DonOne track streaks?

Yes. DonOne tracks both your current streak and your longest streak for every habit, alongside your full history.

Can I track weekly or monthly habits?

Yes — habits can repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Does DonOne support reminders?

Yes. You can set a reminder on each day a habit is scheduled, and mute a habit's reminders without losing its saved schedule. Setting more than one reminder time on a single habit is part of DonOne Plus.

Is DonOne free?

The habit tracking is free — unlimited habits, good-day goals, hard-day minimums, streaks, history, journal, and one reminder per scheduled day. DonOne Plus is an optional subscription that adds multiple reminder times on a habit; its price and available plans are shown in the app before you buy.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. DonOne is local-first — your habits, history, and journal entries live on your device. There's no account and no cloud sync today. If you subscribe to DonOne Plus, Apple and our subscription provider handle the purchase itself; your habit and journal content is never part of that.

You do not need another perfect Monday.
